I am from the erstwhile royal kingdom of Jubbal in Himachal Pradesh . My family and I have been custodians of the traditions that we have been passing on since 1100 AD . The focus has been on the revival of Pahari miniature paintings prevalent in our area , textiles , jewellery and wooden carvings on the temples . I travel to the remote and far flung villages of Himachal Pradesh to share with the world a way of life that soon may be extinct . The culture is pagan and we believe in the deities of nature . A lot of my research has gone in the use of herbs that have been found in the higher mountain ranges and their consumption for numerous ailments . I choose to heal through naturopathic therapy over Allopathic medicine . My great grandfathers palace in Shimla is called the Woodville Palace and we organise holistic retreats for healing the rasa’s ( emotions) and then working in tandem on the mind and body . We invite international shamans , healers and naturopaths from all over the world to Shimla to create a bespoke experience that is a week long . Here we share the old ways of the kingdom with guests and a cultural immersion is created which leaves a peaceful resonance with those who partake in the experience . I have also started my own brand which goes by the name of Royal remedies . All my skin and gut care products are sourced from Himachal and are pure and sans chemical . This brand is dedicated to my great grandmother who was a princess of jubbal and became the Maharani of Kapurthala. She was a beautiful woman inside out and it gives me immense joy to share her beauty secrets with the women of today’s times . The famous jazz musician dedicated a song called “ let’s misbehave “ to her exuberant nature . Other than wellness i enjoy writing and have a vast collection of poetry . I work with the International Delphic Council which is the twin counterpart of the Olympics and we present awards to performing artists . The IDC is active in 28 states in India and we have tied up with 40 countries globally. One of the more well known brand ambassadors has been Nelson Mandela along with royals of various countries over the decades . The well known actress Hema Malini is our Indian ambassador. I am also the President of the Rugby Association in Himachal Pradesh as well as the President of the karate association in Jubbal .
